What is the function of Zhongtian Optical Cable?
2022-09-21
Zhongtian Optical Cable Optical fiber cables are generally classified into those with metallic strength members and those with nonmetallic strength members. Common metallic strength members include single steel wires and steel strands. In practice, it is important to note that nonmetallic strength members typically consist of fiber-reinforced polymers—specifically glass-fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) and aramid yarn. GFRP is used in the cable core or on both sides of the core, while aramid yarn is placed between the core and the outer jacket. Henceforth, whenever you encounter such a cable, you should understand that it is manufactured to meet specific optical, mechanical, and environmental performance specifications. In other words, it is a communication cable assembly that uses one or more optical fibers enclosed within a protective jacket as the transmission medium and can be deployed either individually or in bundles.
Zhongtian optical cable has relatively poor bend resistance; therefore, when deploying it indoors, protective measures such as conduit are typically used. Moreover, indoor spaces are often limited, making the cabling environment quite complex and increasing the likelihood of degraded transmission quality due to excessive cable bending. In addition, installers must exercise extreme care during deployment, which in turn drives up labor costs. To address these challenges, bend-insensitive optical cable was developed—fully compliant with the ITU-T G.657 standard and generally capable of supporting a minimum bend radius of 7.5 mm. With its help, many of the difficulties associated with indoor optical-cable installation can be readily overcome.
